Zila
A complete physical identity for a modern Indian restaurant.
Zila needed its physical world to say the same thing as its food: rooted, generous and unmistakably contemporary. The brief covered everything a guest touches — from the takeaway box on the doorstep to the apron of the person who serves them.
One system, many objects
We built the identity out into a single physical system. Takeaway boxes carry an illustrated architecture in Zila blue and terracotta that wraps across the fold, so stacked boxes read as one scene. Cups, bags, napkins, coasters and cards share the same palette and a restrained use of the wordmark.
Built for service
Boxes were sized to the menu and tested with real portions. The aprons are cut from a heavy cotton twill that holds its shape through long service, with the wordmark embroidered rather than printed so it survives daily washing.
In the restaurant
Inside, the system continues on table pieces, menus and staff wear — the same materials and the same quiet confidence, so the brand feels consistent whether a guest is dining in or opening a delivery at home.
